No2 AVOCADO - The vegetable that is a fruit!
Avocado originated in northern Central America, more specifically from Honduras over Guatemala to southern Mexico.
Avocado has some of the highest levels of monounsaturated fatty acids found in fruits. The super smart thing is that it contains almost no fruit sugar, but it is quite caloric! Avocado has shown in scientific experiments a cholesterol-lowering effect.
Avocados are both vitamin- and mineral-rich:
Potassium - are just some of the healthy substances. In addition, avocado contains omega 3 fatty acids.
Example of recipe with AVOCADO:
White and green-together (all ingredients preferably organic!)
1/2 cup olive oil
1 dl cream cream 18%
50 g almonds
Here's how you do it:
Blend oil, lemon, coarsely chopped herbs, salt and pepper. Add cream cheese 18% or use Greek yogurt. Take the meat out of the avocados, cut into cubes and mix with the dressing. Pick the cauliflower into small, tiny bouquets.
Put a few drops of oil on a pan and shake the almonds for 5-6 minutes, sprinkle with crushed salt, let them cool, and chop them roughly.
Turn the avocado mixture together with the cauliflower, sprinkle with the toasted almonds, and allow the salad to soak for 10-15 minutes. before serving.
